The Stars in the Book
Time flies! Can’t believe half of January is gone already. Sorry for the lack of posts. We only got back from holiday last week and we are still catching up with work (and housework). As I mentioned in my previous ‘end of year’ post, this year I will be introducing a slight change (or enhancement) to my Book in a Blink posts with each post having a star rating and target audience information for the book. This will hopefully help you to decide whether the book should be put on your reading list. So without further ado let me give you a brief description on the star ratings:
1-star: No further reading is recommended. This is when a book doesn’t cover much more than what I covered in my post. Basically reading the entire book may not be a good use of your time!
2-star: Recommended reading for people with special interests in the topic / genre. Further reading will give readers additional details on the topic to fulfil their interests.
3-star: A good read that I will recommend to most readers. Books with 3-stars will generally have good story lines, interesting information for everyone to know, and easy to read.
4-star: Highly recommended read for all readers. These books are well-written and are definite page turners. Reading these 4-star books in more detail will gives you additional insights that are not covered in blog posts.
5-star: Must-read-list. Books with 5-star are those that can “make your heart sing”. These are books that you don’t mind reading twice or three times or what-the-hell maybe even 10 times. Most importantly for non-fiction books, they have great information that you can benefit from and will open your eyes to different ideas and thinking!
So those are the different star ratings I will be trying to apply to all the books I post about, so let us roll into 2015 with more books and more posts. ‘Till next time, readers!
